The model replicates a gunshot wound channel into which the trainee inserts gauze or a haemostatic dressing and then maintains direct pressure \u2013 exactly as required when dealing with life-threatening bleeding.<\/p>\n

The trainer is made of SOFTTECH\u00ae silicone, whose multi-layer, colour-differentiated structure imitates skin and deeper tissues. The material gives a natural feel when working with your fingers in the wound and is also very durable: it withstands repeated exercises and is UV-resistant.<\/p>\n

A built-in tubing system lets you connect simulated bleeding \u2013 e.g. the SKEDCO\u00ae FEBSS system or the Techline Blood Supply Pump reservoir with hand pump<\/a>, sold separately. The click-fit connector allows a quick and secure connection to the pump. With life-threatening bleeding speed matters: make sure you are safe, put on gloves, expose the wound and apply direct, firm pressure. If the wound is deep, pack it with gauze or a haemostatic dressing right to the bottom and press for at least several minutes.
