The R-100-T oxygen flowmeter<\/strong> by MetalERG is an oxygen flow regulator with a barb, designed to work with a device fitted with an AGA-type socket. This can be a medical oxygen supply or directly an oxygen regulator with an AGA socket.<\/p>\n

The flow is set with a knob in the range 0\u201315 l\/min, and the R-100-T oxygen flowmeter<\/strong> works at a pressure of 0.4\u20130.5 MPa \u2013 the output pressure of a regulator with an AGA socket. This allows the amount of oxygen to be matched precisely to the patient\u2019s needs and the type of mask or cannula.<\/p>\n

The flowmeter is used for oxygen therapy without a humidifier: the oxygen tubing is fitted directly onto the barb. After unscrewing the barb, however, you can connect a humidifier<\/a> with a 9\/16 thread fitting, which is useful for longer oxygen administration.<\/p>\n

The \u201cT\u201d marking indicates the version with a plastic body. To complete the set you need an oxygen regulator with an AGA socket<\/a>. The R-100-T oxygen flowmeter<\/strong> also has an equivalent, R100<\/a> \u2013 choose the version that better suits your kit.<\/p>\n

Why does the R-100-T oxygen flowmeter make building an oxygen kit easier?<\/h2>\n

A system based on the AGA socket is modular: the regulator stays on the cylinder, and the flowmeter is clipped in when oxygen needs to be given. The same flowmeter also works with a medical oxygen installation, so the rescuer uses familiar equipment both in the field and in a facility.<\/p>\n

Precise flow adjustment lets you give as much oxygen as the patient actually needs without wasting the cylinder supply. Other equipment can be found in the category regulators and flowmeters<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Giving oxygen \u2013 first an open airway<\/h2>\n

Oxygen only helps when the casualty has an open airway and is breathing. If they are not breathing normally, resuscitation and ventilation are the priority. When working with oxygen, remember safety: no grease or lubricants on connectors, away from fire and sparks.<\/p>\n
