The medical GESS non-contact thermometer<\/strong> works by infrared (IR) and is intended for home and professional use \u2013 in hospitals, treatment rooms, workplaces and transport.<\/p>\n

Measurement takes approx. 1 second after pointing the thermometer at the forehead from a distance of approx. 3\u20135 cm, and its accuracy is \u00b10.2\u00b0C. The body temperature measurement range is 32\u201342\u00b0C. The thermometer has a backlit LCD display, memory for the last 32 readings, unit selection (\u00b0C or \u00b0F), the option to switch off the beep and the guiding light, alarm value setting and calibration.<\/p>\n

The thermometer operates at ambient temperatures of 10\u201340\u00b0C and humidity below 85%. It measures 95 \u00d7 42 \u00d7 139 mm and weighs 85 g. It is powered by 2 AA batteries, which are included, together with a case and instructions in Polish and English.<\/p>\n

High fever \u2013 when to seek help?<\/h2>\n

A fever in itself is usually not dangerous, but call for help when it is accompanied by seizures, a stiff neck, a rash that does not fade under pressure, shortness of breath or altered consciousness. With a small child having febrile seizures, protect them from injury, do not put anything in their mouth and, once the seizures stop, place them in the recovery position.<\/p>\n
