WoundClot Trauma 20 X 30 cm<\/strong> is a sterile, single-use medical device for moderate and severe traumatic bleeding. The pack contains 1 piece of gauze measuring 20 x 30 cm.<\/p>\n

The dressing contains a three-dimensional gel matrix. On contact with blood it turns into a strongly adhesive structure that stabilises the wound and stops the bleeding. The absorbency of the dressing reaches 25 times its own weight.<\/p>\n

It is used by emergency medical teams and trauma units. It can be used for penetrating injuries, including gunshot wounds, where the shape of the wound makes prolonged manual pressure difficult. WoundClot Trauma 20 X 30 cm<\/strong> comes in a unit pack containing 1 piece.<\/p>\n

What sets WoundClot Trauma 20 X 30 cm apart?<\/h2>\n

The gel matrix conforms to irregular wound shapes, so the dressing can also be used where the geometry of the wound makes manual pressure difficult. The gauze is intended for moderate and severe bleeding, and its absorbency of up to 25 times its own weight copes with heavy bleeding. WoundClot Trauma 20 X 30 cm<\/strong> has a shelf life of up to 5 years and should be stored at a temperature of 5\u00b0C to 35\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

The device is sterile only as long as the unit packaging has not been damaged or opened. The shelf life is up to 5 years. Rules for using a haemostatic dressing for massive bleeding<\/h2>\n

First make sure the scene is safe, and call for help on 999 or 112. For massive bleeding, apply direct pressure to the wound, and if life-threatening bleeding from a limb occurs, apply a tourniquet. Haemostatic gauze is best used after training in bleeding control. Before use, check that the packaging is undamaged and that the expiry date has not passed. The dressing is single-use: once opened, use it in full, do not reuse it and do not re-sterilise it.<\/p>\n
