TRAUMAKIT Mini accident first aid kit<\/strong> is a module from the TRAUMAKIT Mini series, designed for securing the scene of a road accident and giving first aid to casualties. It can be used on its own or as part of a larger TRAUMAKIT Mini system. The pouch is bright yellow.<\/p>\n

Inside you will find: a pair of disposable nitrile gloves in size L (1 pack), a 3-layer surgical face mask, 10 plasters with a dressing 1.9 cm x 7.6 cm, 5 AlcoCLEAN skin disinfection wipes, an NRC foil\/thermal blanket, a safety keyring (hammer and seat belt cutter), a yellow hi-vis vest, an accident statement form, a TK pen, a mini head torch, a 1 l vomit bag, a chemical light and instructions.<\/p>\n

The kit measures (height x width x depth) 15 x 14 x 7 cm and weighs 0.3320 kg, so it fits in a bag or backpack. It is meant for drivers and for people who carry a bag with them every day: office and technical workers, school pupils and students. What is the TRAUMAKIT Mini accident first aid kit used for?<\/h2>\n

At the scene of an accident the order of actions matters: first your own visibility and safety, then help for the casualties. This module covers both tasks. The hi-vis vest and head torch help to secure the scene, while the gloves, mask, plasters, wipes and NRC foil\/thermal blanket are used to give help. TRAUMAKIT Mini accident first aid kit<\/strong> has a bright yellow pouch, so it is easy to spot.<\/p>\n

A casualty's survival can depend on a bystander taking action, and a prepared kit shortens the time spent looking for the things you need. The keyring with a hammer and seat belt cutter, together with the accident statement form and TK pen, add items related to a road incident. The module can be combined with other TRAUMAKIT Mini modules when wider equipment is needed. The TRAUMAKIT Mini accident first aid kit weighs 0.3320 kg and measures 15 x 14 x 7 cm.<\/p>\n

First aid after a road accident \u2013 order of actions<\/h2>\n

First assess the danger and make sure you are safe: put on the hi-vis vest and, if necessary, use the head torch. Then call for help on 999 or 112. Put on gloves before coming into contact with blood. Plasters and wipes will be useful for minor injuries. In the case of massive bleeding, apply direct pressure to the wound straight away. When bleeding from a limb is life-threatening, a tourniquet is needed, which is not included in this module, so it is worth supplementing it with other modules. The casualty can be covered with the NRC foil\/thermal blanket.<\/p>\n
