Training tourniquet Xmetix TAK711 replicates the shape, method of application and interface of the TAK710 automatic tourniquet, but it does not generate pressure and does not occlude blood flow. It is intended solely for practice, presentations and simulations.

With this model, a Trainee can practise the successive stages: placing the tourniquet, adjusting the strap and simulating activation with a single button. Sessions can be held on a manikin or on a person practising.

The tourniquet is intended for first aid and bleeding control instructors, rescue teams, schools, universities, workplaces, companies, public offices and organisations running courses on responding to emergencies. The set includes 1 × blue training tourniquet Xmetix TAK711.

Why is the training tourniquet Xmetix TAK711 well suited to learning?

Practising on a device that does not squeeze the limb allows you to repeat the whole sequence of actions without risk to the person practising. Training tourniquet Xmetix TAK711 replicates the handling of the TAK710, so people who have access to operational tourniquets can get to know how they are applied and activated beforehand.

The blue colour makes it easier to recognise the training version among the equipment used during sessions. You will find other products of this type in the category tourniquets and pressure bars.

Rules for using the training tourniquet and what to do in massive bleeding

The TAK711 tourniquet does not stop bleeding and must not be used during a real rescue operation. Because it resembles the operational TAK710, store training tourniquets separately from rescue equipment intended for use on a casualty. The blue colour helps to tell them apart quickly.

In real massive bleeding, first make sure of your own safety, call for help on 999 or 112 and apply direct pressure. When bleeding from a limb is life-threatening, a tourniquet is used. Details are described in the article Massive haemorrhage – first aid.
