How to prepare the case and act in the event of bleeding

Before the case is put into use, choose the TRAUMA KIT modules (up to eight) and check that they all fit inside. People who may reach for it should know the contents of each module. At the scene of an incident, first assess safety, then call for help on 999 or 112. In the case of massive bleeding, apply direct pressure, and when bleeding from a limb is life-threatening – use a tourniquet. The casualty's survival may depend on a bystander taking action.
