TRAUMAKIT Panaro Samaritan PAD case is an orange protective case for the Samaritan PAD AED defibrillator. It is sold without the defibrillator and without equipment, so it is just the housing with shaped foam in which the device is stored and carried.

The body is made of polypropylene and the fasteners are made of nylon. The case has an IP67 protection rating, which means the interior is protected against dust and the effects of short-term immersion in water. The pressure valve allows the pressure inside the housing to equalise.

The case measures approx. 34 × 30 × 15.5 cm and has a capacity of approx. 12 l. Its portable form makes it easier to take the defibrillator to the scene of an incident, which companies, public offices and schools that keep an AED on their premises will appreciate. TRAUMAKIT Panaro Samaritan PAD case has a pressure valve that allows the pressure inside the housing to equalise.

Why choose the TRAUMAKIT Panaro Samaritan PAD case?

While being carried and stored, a defibrillator is exposed to shocks, dust and moisture. The rigid polypropylene body protects the equipment from mechanical damage, and IP67 protects the interior against dust and short-term immersion in water. The pressure valve equalises the pressure inside the housing. TRAUMAKIT Panaro Samaritan PAD case is closed with nylon fasteners, which allow it to be opened and closed quickly.

The foam is shaped for the Samaritan PAD AED: it holds the defibrillator in place and limits its movement during transport. The nylon fasteners allow the case to be opened and closed quickly. You will find other devices in the AED defibrillators.

Practical use and rules for cardiac arrest

The case is used to carry and store the defibrillator, so before heading to the scene of an incident, check that the AED is in the foam and that the fasteners are closed. Remember that the case is empty: the defibrillator and equipment must be bought separately.

At the scene, first make sure you are safe, then assess the casualty and call 999 or 112. If the casualty is unresponsive and not breathing normally, start chest compressions and follow the instructions of the defibrillator. A bystander taking action can determine whether the casualty survives. You can read more about the device in the article Chapter VIII – Automated external defibrillator (AED).
