TRAUMA KIT Sport modular first aid kit – why this set?

The contents of this module address typical sports situations. The cooling spray, cold pack and hydrogel dressing are used to relieve pain and swelling, and the warming patch adds a warming option. As a result, the set covers both cooling and warming. If you are looking for a set with rigid tape and kinesiology tape, TRAUMA KIT Sport modular first aid kit contains both tapes.

Three elastic bandages and a cohesive bandage are used for stabilisation. The set contains two different types of tape: rigid tape for sports taping and kinesiology tape. The nitrile gloves and metal tweezers allow you to work hygienically and precisely. The TRAUMA KIT Sport modular first aid kit, code TKS249, comes in a bright green pack measuring 13 x 22 x 9 cm.

The Oxford fabric pack is bright green, measures 13 x 22 x 9 cm and weighs 0.65 kg. It is a first aid kit from the TRAUMA KIT family of modular sets, so it is easy to tell apart from other modules by the Sport designation and the code TKS249.

What to do in the event of a sports injury

First make sure the scene is safe for you and the casualty, and put on gloves. If you are concerned about the casualty's condition, call for help on 999 or 112. For massive bleeding, apply direct pressure; a tourniquet is appropriate when there is life-threatening bleeding from a limb. Remember that this module does not contain a tourniquet.

Use cooling and stabilisation only for the injuries the set is intended for. You can read about equipment for severe bleeding in the article A first aid kit ready for massive bleeding.
