Tourniquet trainer T3 size S (Train the Tourniquet) by TRAUMA KIT is a training aid used on first aid courses for massive bleeding.<\/strong> It is used to practise applying a tourniquet during first aid courses on massive bleeding. It is made of waterproof oxford fabric and measures 48 cm x 11.5 cm (size S).<\/p>\n

The trainer allows Participants to practise applying tactical tourniquets in line with TC3 (TCCC \u2013 Tactical Combat Casualty Care) and to learn how to control bleeding in critical situations. It is used by Medical Rescuers, medical personnel, firefighters, police officers, security staff and first aid instructors.<\/p>\n

Principles of applying a tourniquet on a course<\/h2>\n

The exercise begins with a safety assessment: the Participant checks that neither they nor the casualty are exposed to further danger, and calls for help on 999 or 112. In massive bleeding, the basis is direct pressure on the wound, and a tourniquet is used when life-threatening bleeding from a limb occurs. The trainer is used to practise applying a tourniquet.<\/p>\n

During the session, the instructor can discuss with the group when to reach for a tourniquet and when pressure is enough.
