PLUM pH Neutral eye wash<\/strong> is a specialist buffer solution for neutralising acids and alkalis in the eye, intended for first aid in cases of chemical exposure. The 4.9% phosphate solution is supplied in a 200 ml bottle fitted with an ergonomic eyecup nozzle, which allows controlled rinsing of the eye.<\/p>\n

The compact form of the bottle is suitable for portable first aid kits, laboratories, workshops and warehouses, that is, wherever there is a risk of contact with chemical substances. Pictograms on the bottle are intended to make it easier to use in a stressful situation. Once opened, the product is single-use.<\/p>\n

Why is PLUM pH Neutral eye wash intended for acids and alkalis?<\/h2>\n

Contact of the eye with an acidic or alkaline substance requires immediate rinsing. Plum pH Neutral solution is a 4.9% phosphate buffer that balances the pH of the eye surface, and the eyecup nozzle lets you direct the liquid exactly where it is needed. PLUM pH Neutral eye wash<\/strong> is a liquid in a 200 ml bottle with an eyecup nozzle.<\/p>\n

The buffer alone is not the end of the procedure, however. After using pH Neutral, it is recommended to continue rinsing with a 0.9% NaCl saline solution to wash out any remaining traces of the substance completely. For this reason, wherever chemicals are handled, both bottles should be available together. PLUM pH Neutral eye wash<\/strong> contains a 4.9% phosphate buffer and is intended for rinsing the eye after contact with acids or alkalis.<\/p>\n

Rules for using an eye wash after contact with chemicals<\/h2>\n

First assess whether anything poses a danger to you or the casualty, and only then begin rinsing. How to recognise a hazard at the scene is described in the article Chapter III \u2013 Recognising danger<\/a>. Start rinsing straight away, and next use a 0.9% NaCl solution. Treat an opened bottle as single-use. PLUM pH Neutral eye wash requires rinsing to be continued with a 0.9% NaCl solution, and consultation with a specialist after use.<\/p>\n

Store the eye wash in an easily accessible place and train staff in the procedure: pH Neutral, then 0.9% NaCl. After use, contact a specialist, because the product does not replace medical consultation.
