PLUM iBox 1 eye wash kit is a dustproof station with a transparent window, containing a 500 ml bottle of 0.9% NaCl solution with an eyecup nozzle. The kit is used to flush the eyes in cases of irritation and mechanical contamination, such as dust or small particles.

The eyecup nozzle fits the shape of the eye and guides the stream of fluid steadily. The 0.9% NaCl solution used is isotonic. The casing protects the bottle from dirt and damage, and a quick check is possible thanks to the inspection window.

The kit is intended for workstations that require an immediate response. The set includes: a dustproof iBox 1 box, one 500 ml bottle of 0.9% NaCl with an eyecup nozzle, and instructions with pictograms. PLUM iBox 1 eye wash kit includes instructions and pictograms that make it easier to use in a situation requiring a quick response.

Why does the PLUM iBox 1 eye wash kit work well at a workstation?

At workstations where dust or small particles are present in the air, it matters that the eye wash fluid is close at hand and in good condition. PLUM iBox 1 eye wash kit keeps the bottle in a dustproof box that protects it from dirt and damage. As a result, the fluid does not lie loose on a shelf or in a drawer.

The transparent window lets you glance at the contents and the expiry date without opening the box, and the pictograms guide you through use when time matters. You will find other eye protection solutions in the Eye wash.

How do you use the eye wash kit and keep it ready for use?

Regularly check the bottle through the window and make sure the fluid is within its expiry date. Before use, read the instructions and pictograms included in the kit, and fit the eyecup nozzle to the eye so that the stream is guided steadily. The kit is intended for irritation and mechanical contamination.

When the eye has come into contact with chemicals, the following procedure is used: pH Neutral → NaCl 0.9%. The pH Neutral fluid is not part of this kit; the box contains 0.9% NaCl solution. Before you act, assess whether the scene is safe, which you can read about in the article Chapter III – Recognising danger.
