Burnshield hydrogel dressings in bag is a small kit designed for giving first aid in the event of a burn. The dressing is applied to the burn right after the incident, and the semi-liquid gel spreads easily over the burnt area of skin. The dressing is easy to remove from the wound.

The bag contains 16 items: two each of hydrogel dressings 100x100 mm, 200x200 mm and 600x400 mm, a finger dressing (25 mm x 0.5 m), a limb dressing (50 mm x 1 m), Burnshield hydrogel 125 ml spray, two knitted bandages 50 mm, self-adhesive dressing tape, a self-adhesive dressing bandage, Levtex gloves, metal scissors and an adult rescue blanket.

The kit is intended for dressing thermal burns, sunburns and burns from corrosive chemicals (only after the corrosive agent has been neutralised), as well as superficial skin wounds (abrasions, scratches, cuts) and deep wounds. The dressing composition is allergy-friendly, and the dressing can also be used on children. Burnshield hydrogel dressings in bag come with Levtex gloves and metal scissors, which are useful when preparing the dressing.

Why choose Burnshield hydrogel dressings in bag?

Burns vary in size and location, which is why the kit contains dressings in several sizes: 100×100 mm, 200×200 mm and 600×400 mm, as well as long dressings for fingers (25 mm x 0.5 m) and limbs (50 mm x 1 m). The 125 ml hydrogel spray complements the dressings when the gel needs to be spread over burnt skin. If you need a dressing for fingers or limbs, Burnshield hydrogel dressings in bag include separate versions 0.5 m and 1 m long.

Two knitted bandages, self-adhesive tape and a self-adhesive dressing bandage are used to secure the dressing, while the gloves and scissors make it easier to prepare for work. You will find other hydrogel compresses in a separate category. The kit fits in a nylon bag in which all 16 items are kept in one place.

What to do in case of a burn – first aid rules

First make sure you and the casualty are safe: if it is possible without risk, move the casualty away from the danger zone and put on gloves. In the case of a serious burn, or when the casualty is in a severe condition, call for help on 999 or 112. A hydrogel dressing is applied to the burn right after the incident and then secured with a bandage or tape from the kit. If, in addition to the burn, there is massive bleeding, first apply direct pressure to the wound.

We describe how and when to call for help in the article Emergency number 112 and calling for help.
