WoundClot Trauma gauze 10×10 cm<\/strong> is a medical device: a sterile, single-use haemostatic dressing intended for moderate and severe traumatic bleeding. The dressing has a three-dimensional gel matrix. On contact with blood, the matrix changes into a strongly adhesive structure that stabilises the wound and helps to stop the bleeding.<\/p>\n

The gauze absorbs blood up to 25 times its own weight and conforms to irregular wounds. For this reason it can also be used for penetrating injuries, including gunshot wounds. The dressing is used by emergency medical teams, trauma units and rescue services. It has been tested in trauma and military medicine settings.<\/p>\n

The pack contains 1 piece of gauze measuring 10 x 10 cm. The manufacturer also offers the dressing in other sizes, so when buying, check that you are choosing the 10 x 10 cm size. How to use WoundClot Trauma gauze 10x10 cm and what to remember?<\/h2>\n

First make sure you are safe and call for help on 999 or 112. In massive bleeding, direct pressure is applied, and when bleeding from a limb is life-threatening, a tourniquet. A haemostatic dressing is equipment for a trained person who knows the procedure for using it. Check that the packaging is intact. Do not use the gauze after its expiry date. Once opened, use it in full; do not re-sterilise it and do not reuse it.<\/p>\n
