WoundClot Trauma 8 x 20 cm<\/strong> is a sterile haemostatic gauze intended for moderate and severe traumatic bleeding. The pack contains 1 piece measuring 8 x 20 cm. It is a medical device for single use only.<\/p>\n

On contact with blood, the three-dimensional gel matrix turns into a strongly adhesive structure that stabilises the wound. The dressing absorbs blood up to 25 times its own weight. It conforms to the irregular shapes of the wound, so it can also be used for penetrating injuries, including gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n

The gauze is used by emergency medical teams, trauma wards and rescue services. It also suits massive bleeding kits in companies, public offices and schools. It is used by a trained person. WoundClot Trauma 8 x 20 cm<\/strong> is sterile only if the individual packaging has not been damaged or opened.<\/p>\n

How to use haemostatic gauze \u2013 safety rules<\/h2>\n

In massive bleeding, first make sure you are safe, then call 999 or 112. The basis is direct pressure on the wound, and when limb bleeding is life-threatening, a tourniquet is used. Haemostatic gauze supplements these actions and should be used by a trained person. A bystander taking action can decide whether the casualty survives.<\/p>\n

Check the pack before use: do not use the gauze if it is damaged, because sterility applies only to an undamaged individual pack. After opening, use the dressing up in full, do not sterilise it again and do not use it a second time.
