The PerSys FCPT3 Israeli individual dressing (PerSys / First Care Products) is a T3 personal dressing for controlling bleeding and dressing various wounds. The grey bandage is 10 cm wide and 160 cm long (up to 370 cm when stretched).

The dressing consists of an elastic bandage with a plastic clip and a highly absorbent compress attached to the bandage. The clip makes it easy to change the direction of bandaging and achieve point pressure exactly over the wound, and the dressing ends with a fastener that stops it from loosening once applied. Stitching on the bandage prevents it from unwinding accidentally. The 10 × 18 cm compress is fully expandable and detachable, and the dressing also contains pull-out gauze for cleaning the wound or packing it before pressure is applied.

The dressing can serve as a personal, pressure and support dressing: it controls heavy bleeding, secures other dressings, protects wounds in difficult places and allows an improvised tourniquet to be made. It can even be applied with one hand. It is sterile, vacuum-packed in double, waterproof, easy-open foil packaging, and single-use. It meets TCCC requirements for individual dressings. The PerSys FCPT3 Israeli individual dressing fits in an IFAK.

Why the PerSys FCPT3 Israeli individual dressing?

The included gauze lets you pack a deep wound without reaching for a separate dressing, and the detachable compress can be placed wherever it is needed. The PerSys FCPT3 Israeli individual dressing practise at our bleeding control training.

The version without gauze is the FCP01 4″. You will find other dressings in the category Israeli-type bandages.

How to apply an Israeli bandage?

Put on gloves and expose the wound. Pack a deep wound with gauze first. Place the pad on the wound and wrap the bandage around the limb; on the first turn pass the bandage through the clip, reverse it and pull in the opposite direction – the clip presses the pad firmly onto the wound. Keep wrapping with firm tension and secure the end with the fastener. Check circulation below the dressing. For massive bleeding from a limb that you cannot stop, apply a tourniquet. Call for help on 112 – action taken by a bystander can decide whether the casualty survives. The dressings are single-use.
