CPR on an infant
With an infant, the head is placed in a neutral position and breaths are given covering the mouth and nose – gently, just enough to make the chest rise. Start with 5 breaths, then compress with two fingers or two thumbs to a depth of approx. 4 cm (1/3 of the chest), at a rate of 100–120 per minute, in a 15:2 pattern.
