Elastic dressing net 1 m x 10 cm is a size no. 10 dressing retention net intended for abdominal or hip dressings. It replaces a traditional bandage or plaster – just pull it over the dressing to hold it securely while the skin underneath can breathe.
The net is 1 m long unstretched. It can be cut to the required length and a hole can be cut in it, e.g. for a finger, elbow or face, so that it fits the injury site. It is a single-use, non-sterile product – it is placed over a sterile dressing, not directly on the wound.
Choose the size for the body part: smaller numbers are for fingers and hands, medium ones for limbs and the head, and the largest for the torso. Adjacent sizes: no. 6 and no. 8. Elastic dressing net 1 m x 10 cm is worth having in your first aid kit alongside compresses and dressings.
Why the elastic dressing net 1 m x 10 cm?
The net holds a dressing without adhesive, so it does not irritate the skin or come unstuck, and it takes seconds to put on. It works well where a bandage slips – on fingers, the head or joints. Elastic dressing net 1 m x 10 cm should be placed over a dressing, not directly on the wound.

Dressing a wound – step by step
Put on gloves, stop the bleeding with pressure and cover the wound with a sterile dressing or compress. Only then secure a bandage, net or triangular bandage over it – do not put them directly on the wound. The bandage should hold the dressing, not cut off circulation: check that the fingers below do not turn pale, numb or blue. For massive bleeding use a tourniquet and call 112 – action taken by a bystander can decide whether the casualty survives. The dressings are single-use.
