JB Tacticals wound closure strips 7×1.2 cm are zip-closure strips for quickly bringing together the edges of smaller, superficial cuts and lacerations – e.g. on the hand, finger or arm. The zip-lock mechanism with a puller and strong adhesive hold the wound edges in the right position.
The pack contains 3 strips of medical non-woven fabric with zip-lock tape, on one sterile blister sterilised with ethylene oxide (EO). One strip is suitable for a wound up to approx. 2–3 cm long; for a longer wound 2–3 strips are applied side by side. Once the blister is opened, the strips are no longer sterile.
It is a temporary measure until medical help is reached – a deep, dirty wound, a wound with a foreign body, a bite or a heavily bleeding wound must always be assessed by a doctor. JB Tacticals wound closure strips 7×1.2 cm fit in an IFAK and EDC kit.

Why JB Tacticals 7×1.2 cm wound closure strips?
A small wound with gaping edges heals worse and is more easily contaminated. A zip-lock strip brings the edges together without tools – in the mountains, when camping, in the car or at the shooting range. JB Tacticals wound closure strips 7×1.2 cm apply only to cleaned and dried skin.
For longer wounds use the JB Tacticals 9×2 cm strips.
How to apply a wound closure strip?
Stop the bleeding and clean the skin – wash and dry at least 3 cm around the wound, disinfect if necessary. Stick the centre of the strip along the line of the wound and press down. Pull the closing straps horizontally until the wound edges meet – do not pull too tight. Cut off the excess straps. Do not close deep, dirty wounds, bites or heavily bleeding wounds – they require medical attention; for massive bleeding call 112.
