Cederroth First Aid Station consists of several sets of supplies intended for different types of injury. The 4-in-1 dressings allow you to dress a wound with or without pressure and, if necessary, immobilise a limb. The smaller version of the dressing is intended, among other things, for dressing fingers and toes.
Gel compresses are provided for burns, while sterile single-use wipes moistened with saline solution and a saline solution spray are included for the initial cleaning of a wound. The liquid in the spray contains no preservatives and its shelf life is 5 years from the date of manufacture. The Salvequick plasters, both plastic and fabric, have been tested for allergens.
The kit contains: 2 pcs of 4-in-1 dressings with a 14 x 23 cm compress and 2 elastic bandages 10 cm x 3 m (REF 1910), 3 pcs of small 4-in-1 dressings with an 8 x 12 cm compress and an elastic bandage 6 cm x 3 m (REF 1911), 2 pcs of 10 x 10 cm gel burn compresses (REF 901900), a 150 ml eye and wound rinsing spray (REF 726000), a Salvequick plaster dispenser with 45 plastic plasters (REF 6036) and 40 fabric plasters (REF 6444), a pack of 20 Salvequick wound wipes (REF 323700), a beige foam bandage 2 m x 6 cm (REF 51618502), a protective set with a breathing mask, gloves and hand wipes (REF 2596), first aid instructions, a key for the refill cartridges and a mounting template. Cederroth First Aid Station contains two sizes of 4-in-1 dressings, so you can dress both a larger wound and a finger or toe.
Why does the Cederroth First Aid Station have several separate sets?
Each set addresses a different type of injury: bleeding, a burn, a minor wound, a contaminated eye. The key for the refill cartridges indicates that used items in the kit can be replenished. Cederroth First Aid Station has a separate burn set with 10 x 10 cm gel compresses.
The kit is suitable for companies, public offices and schools, that is, wherever a larger kit with dimensions of 29 cm x 56 cm x 12 cm is needed. If you are looking for additional dressings for bleeding, see Bleeding control kits. In the Cederroth First Aid Station you will find first aid instructions, a key for the refill cartridges and a mounting template.
How to use the Cederroth First Aid Station?
First, assess the safety of the scene and call for help on 999 or 112. Before coming into contact with the casualty, put on the gloves from the protective set. In the case of heavy bleeding, apply direct pressure to the wound using the compress of the 4-in-1 dressing and secure it with a bandage. Dressings and bandages are single-use. The saline solution spray is used to clean wounds and rinse eyes, and the gel compress to dress a burn.
The kit contains first aid instructions, and the mounting template makes it easier to prepare a place for the kit. You can read more about dealing with heavy bleeding in the article Chapter II – Massive bleeding – first aid.
