BurnTec hydrogel dressing 6 x 12 cm is a sterile, individually packed hydrogel dressing for rescue and first aid use – in a small size, for minor burns of the fingers, hands or forearm. It can be used not only on burns but also on abrasions, wounds with fractures and various skin injuries.

The hydrogel is firm, so it spreads evenly over the wound, and when removed no fragments stay on the body. The dressing cools the injury and absorbs exudate, which is retained in the gel together with toxins. Secured with a bandage, it keeps its properties, is odourless and does not stain clothing.

A larger dressing is the BurnTec 10 × 10 cm. The dressing is single-use. BurnTec hydrogel dressing 6 x 12 cm is worth having in your home, car and travel first aid kit.

Why the BurnTec 6 x 12 cm hydrogel dressing?

The small size suits the most common household burns – from a hot pan, oven or iron – and takes up little space in a first aid kit. BurnTec hydrogel dressing 6 x 12 cm secure with a bandage or dressing net.

You will find other hydrogel dressings in the category hydrogel dressings.

Burns – first aid step by step

Cool a thermal burn as soon as possible with lukewarm running water for at least 20 minutes – a hydrogel dressing does not replace cooling with water, but helps when there is no water or once cooling has finished. Remove jewellery and clothing that has not stuck to the skin, do not burst blisters and do not apply grease to the burn. Apply a sterile hydrogel dressing and secure it with a bandage. For an extensive burn, a burn to the face, hands, groin or airway, and for children, call 112. The dressings are single-use.
