HeartSave myPAD electrodes with CPR sensor (CPR Feedback) are a single-use set of self-adhesive therapy electrodes for Primedic HeartSave myPAD AED defibrillators. The same set can be used for adults and for children. The chest compression sensor is integrated with the electrode cable, so it does not need to be connected separately.
In adults, the sensor monitors compression parameters and sends them to the AED, which gives prompts that help you control the rate and depth of compressions and correct your CPR technique. When helping a child, “child” mode is activated on the defibrillator: the AED adjusts the defibrillation energy to paediatric mode, and the CPR Feedback sensor is deactivated.
The electrode surface area is 117 ± 10 cm² for adults and 86 ± 10 cm² for children, the cable is 1.40 m ± 0.2 m long, and the maximum number of shocks is up to 50. The pack contains 1 set of electrodes. HeartSave myPAD electrodes with CPR sensor have a sensor integrated with the cable, so they do not require separate connection.
Why choose HeartSave myPAD electrodes with CPR sensor?
These electrodes are designed to work with Primedic HeartSave myPAD AED defibrillators, so they are chosen for this specific device. The electrodes and sensor form a single set on a shared cable, so feedback on compressions reaches the AED without additional components. HeartSave myPAD electrodes with CPR sensor are intended for single use on one patient.
The electrodes are single-use and intended for one patient. After use, after opening the packaging, if it is damaged, or once the expiry date has passed, the set must be replaced with a new one. You will find other defibrillator electrodes in the category AED defibrillator electrodes. HeartSave myPAD electrodes with CPR sensor have a sensor that sends information on compressions to the AED in adults; in “child” mode it is switched off.
How do you use electrodes with a CPR sensor during a rescue?
First make sure the scene is safe, and call for help on 999 or 112. If the casualty is unresponsive and not breathing normally, start CPR and use the AED following its prompts. A bystander taking action can decide whether the casualty survives. Use the product in accordance with the instructions for use or the label.
In adults the electrodes are placed anterior-lateral, in children anterior-posterior; the pictograms on the electrodes help with this. When helping a child, activate “child” mode directly on the defibrillator – the CPR Feedback sensor will then be switched off. How the device works is described in the article Chapter VIII – Automated external defibrillator (AED).
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Which defibrillators do these electrodes fit?
They are designed to work with Primedic HeartSave myPAD AED defibrillators.
Can they be used on a child?
Yes, one set is intended for adults and children. When helping a child, “child” mode is activated on the AED, the electrodes are placed anterior-posterior, and the CPR Feedback sensor is then deactivated.
How long are the electrodes valid and can they be reused?
No, it is a single-use product, for one patient.
