The PTR workplace first aid kit (basic version) is a first aid kit for a company – for the office, workshop, warehouse or company car. It contains a Black Front tourniquet (fluo), a 10 cm Israeli-type bandage, a Pocket Mask-type rescue mask, 2 NRC rescue blankets, 5 × 5 and 5 × 15 cm hydrogel dressings, wound closure strips, Mini trauma shears, 4 nitrile gloves, alcohol swabs, plasters, absorbent dressings, sterile gauze, swabs, knitted and elastic bandages, dressing nets and a triangular bandage, as well as a glass breaker with a seat belt cutter.
This lets you deal both with minor cuts and grazes and with serious incidents: massive bleeding (tourniquet and Israeli-type dressing), burns (hydrogel dressings) or hypothermia (NRC blankets). The Pocket Mask-type mask lets you give rescue breaths safely.
The Personal Trauma Responder (PTR) pouch measures 20 × 17 × 9 cm. Inside there are pockets and double elastic loops that keep the equipment organised. A rear rip-away MOLLE panel lets you attach the pouch to a backpack, vest or seat and detach it instantly when needed, and on the front there is a MOLLE panel for shears or a tourniquet. The pouch is made of tightly woven nylon, with YKK zips and Nexus buckles; two quick-mount straps are included. Choose from 5 colours: black, red, sand, orange and green – the interior may differ slightly between batches, with no effect on function. The PTR workplace first aid kit keep in a fixed place known to all household members and employees.
Why the PTR workplace first aid kit?
At work, an accident can happen at a machine, on the road or in a warehouse – the first aid kit should be ready for both a minor injury and massive bleeding. The PTR workplace first aid kit combines everyday equipment with life-saving items, and the MOLLE pouch lets you attach it wherever it will be closest.
A version with more supplies and a splint is the TR workplace first aid kit. You will find other kits in the category first aid kits. Check the PTR workplace first aid kit regularly and restock used dressings.
A first aid kit with a tourniquet – how to use it?
Massive bleeding from a limb is stopped by a tourniquet applied high and tight – write down the time of application with a marker. Bleeding from a wound where a tourniquet cannot be applied is controlled with pressure and an Israeli-type bandage. Call for help on 112 – action taken by a bystander can decide whether the casualty survives. Dressings are single-use – restock the kit after use.
