Training mouthpiece for CPR mask of the Pocket TRAUMA KIT type is used for learning how to provide first aid and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It is a single-use product, and the pack contains 25 pieces.
It is intended for Trainees and Participants of classes who practise CPR and want to do so in realistic training conditions while maintaining hygiene. The pack contains mouthpieces only, without a mask or a manikin.
Why does a training mouthpiece for CPR mask matter during practice?
When learning CPR, those practising have direct contact with training equipment. A single-use mouthpiece helps maintain hygiene, because after the exercise it is replaced with a new one instead of being used again. Training mouthpiece for CPR mask is a single-use product, so each person practising can use a new one.
Training mouthpiece for CPR mask in a pack of 25 pcs makes it possible for successive people to practise ventilation, each on a fresh mouthpiece. We describe the rescue breath technique itself in the article Mouth-to-mouth in practice: how to ventilate a casualty correctly?
How to use the mouthpiece in practice and what it means in a real incident
The mouthpiece is intended for single use, so after the exercise it must not be used again with the next person. Practice with the mouthpiece is meant to prepare you to act in a real situation, in which the casualty's survival may depend on a bystander taking action.
In a real incident, first make sure it is safe. If the casualty does not respond and is not breathing normally, call for help on 999 or 112 and start chest compressions, and if an AED defibrillator is available, use it. We describe the sequence of 30 compressions and 2 breaths, and the order of actions, in the chapter Basic life support: CPR.
