The Nihon Kohden AED trainer Cardiolife is the training version of the Nihon Kohden Cardiolife AED-3100 defibrillator. As an exact copy of the clinical device, it lets you fully practise its operation – except for actual defibrillation.
On an identical training unit the trainee goes through the entire rescue: switching on the AED, attaching the electrodes, following the device's prompts and pressing the defibrillation button. As a result they learn not only general principles but the specific device they may one day use.
