Two values are measured: the depth and the rate of chest compressions. The electrode is compatible with Zoll training defibrillators: AED Plus Trainer and Zoll AED Plus Trainer 3.

Rules of use and first aid when practising CPR with an AED

When practising, remember the sequence that applies in a real incident: safety first, then calling for help on 999 or 112, chest compressions and use of the AED. A bystander taking action can decide whether the casualty survives.
