CU SPR universal pads (CUA1904S) are pads for the CU Medical iPAD SPRdefibrillator. They are adult size but can also be used as paediatric pads.
On adults the pads are applied in the anterior–anterior position, on children in the anterior–posterior position. Placement instructions are on the packaging and on each pad. The cable with plug sticks out of the packaging, so the pads can be connected to the AED straight after purchase – this shortens response time in a rescue. The condition of the pads is checked daily on the device’s display and LEDs.
The pads are single-use and self-adhesive, have an area of 85 cm² and a cable 120 cm long (95 cm inside the packaging, 25 cm outside). The shelf life is up to 36 months. The packaging is not opened before use. CU SPR universal pads store connected to the defibrillator, in unopened packaging.
Also available for children are CU Medical paediatric electrodes, and power is provided by the battery for the iPAD SPR defibrillator.
Why CU SPR universal pads?
The iPAD SPR often works in plants, at swimming pools and in the field – where the casualty may be an adult or a child. CU SPR universal pads let you help both, and connecting them to the AED in advance means the device is ready as soon as it is opened.

Universal electrodes – adult and child
Universal electrodes allow you to rescue both an adult and a child – usually after switching the defibrillator to paediatric mode or inserting a key. On an adult they are placed on the front of the chest (below the right collarbone and on the left side), and on a small child usually front and back, so that they do not touch. The electrodes are single-use – after a rescue they must be replaced.
