AED electrodes – how to apply them?
On an adult, place one electrode below the right collarbone, next to the breastbone, and the other on the left side of the chest, below the armpit. The skin must be bare and dry. The electrodes are single-use – they must be replaced after use in a rescue, after the packaging has been opened or after the expiry date. Nobody touches the casualty during rhythm analysis and the shock.
