PHILIPS FRx defibrillator bag is a reinforced case made of urethane, designed for the Philips FRx AED defibrillator. It fastens with VELCRO® hook-and-loop, and has a convenient handle, an inspection window and openings at speaker level. Its dimensions are 20.5 x 25.5 x 13 cm.
The bag holds not only the FRx defibrillator, but also a spare battery, two sets of electrodes, an infant/child key and a quick reference guide. Special compartments for additional accessories help keep everything in order. The photo is for illustration only: the bag does not include the Philips FRx defibrillator.
The bag is lightweight, and the urethane it is made of is easy to clean. The case protects the AED from drops and impacts and makes it easier to transport. The solution is intended for users of the FRx defibrillator, including Rescuers. PHILIPS FRx defibrillator bag measures 20.5 x 25.5 x 13 cm and has a handle that stops it slipping out of your hand.
Why does the PHILIPS FRx defibrillator bag have a window and openings by the speaker?
The inspection window lets you see the defibrillator's status indicator through the window in the bag. The openings at speaker level mean the device's alarm signals are audible when the defibrillator is inside the case. By choosing the PHILIPS FRx defibrillator bag, you get a urethane case that protects the device from drops and impacts. PHILIPS FRx defibrillator bag has compartments in which you can fit a spare battery, two sets of electrodes and a quick reference guide.
The hook-and-loop fastening and handle are intended to shorten the time needed to reach the device during a rescue operation, and the low weight makes the Rescuer's work easier. You will find other equipment from this group in the AED defibrillators.
How to use the bag during a rescue operation
The principles of first aid are the same regardless of the equipment: first ensure your own safety and that of the casualty, call for help on 999 or 112 and start resuscitation. When someone brings the defibrillator, undo the hook-and-loop fastening, grab the bag by the handle and take out the device. Once it is ready for use again, keep the bag clean, as urethane is easy to clean, and put the set of accessories back in the compartments.
A bystander taking action can decide whether the casualty survives. You can read more about using the device in the article Chapter VIII – Automated external defibrillator (AED).
