The Defibtech Lifeline VIEW AED defibrillator is a semi-automatic defibrillator with a 3.75-inch colour LCD screen. The screen shows videos and captions explaining how to check the casualty, apply the electrodes and perform resuscitation. As a result, the device guides the rescuer even in noisy surroundings and can be used by a person who is hard of hearing.

The voice prompts are complemented by a metronome that sets the compression rate and a CPR timer. When a shock is advised, the defibrillator charges in less than 4 seconds and the rescuer presses the shock button. Operation comes down to two buttons – power and shock.

The device performs daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly self-tests, and the status screen shows the test result and the expiry dates of the battery and electrodes. The housing has an IP55 rating, withstands a drop from 1.2 m, and the defibrillator weighs under 1.4 kg. Power is supplied by the Lifeline VIEW battery – 4 years on standby, 125 shocks or 8 hours of operation. The Defibtech Lifeline VIEW AED defibrillator should be kept in a visible, signposted place so that anyone can reach it quickly.

For children, use the paediatric electrodes for Lifeline VIEW – the energy then drops to 50 J. Spare adult electrodes for Lifeline VIEW have a 2-year shelf life. The Defibtech Lifeline VIEW AED defibrillator works well in places where the device may be used by bystanders.

Why the Defibtech Lifeline VIEW AED defibrillator?

Pictures help where hearing and memory fail. A rescuer holding an AED for the first time sees on the screen where to place the electrodes and how to compress the chest. This is particularly valuable in noisy halls, shopping centres and sports facilities, and wherever people who are hard of hearing work or visit. The Defibtech Lifeline VIEW AED defibrillator itself reminds you on the status screen about battery and electrode expiry dates.

You will find other models in the category AED defibrillators and accessories.

An AED ready at all times

A defibrillator only helps if it works and can be reached quickly. Appoint a person to regularly check the readiness indicator and the expiry dates of the battery and electrodes. When someone is unresponsive and not breathing normally, call 112, start chest compressions and ask for an AED to be brought – action taken by a bystander can decide whether the casualty survives.
