2. First aid priorities: you will learn to recognise priority threats and find out how to stay safe during a rescue
3. Legal aspects of first aid: we explain how the law protects people who give first aid and when you are entitled to reimbursement of costs incurred during a rescue – and, on the other hand, what the liability is for failing to help a casualty in need
4. Coordinating a rescue: we show you how to effectively get bystanders involved – explaining the psychological aspects of giving first aid
5. Assessing the casualty: we show you how to examine a casualty and assess their vital functions and level of consciousness. You will learn the correct approach to a conscious and an unconscious casualty, how to open the airway and how to check breathing
Lecture + case study60 min
MASSIVE BLEEDING1. Dedicated dressings: we explain how to use tourniquets and various types of individual dressings
2. Exercises: in simulated scenarios you will learn to control massive bleeding quickly and effectively
3. Improvised care: You will learn to improvise in an emergency. We explain what to do when you do not have dedicated dressings at hand
Practical workshops60 min
CPR WITH AN AED1. Causes of Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA): we explain the most common causes of Sudden Cardiac Arrest, how much time the casualty has in such a situation and how important bystanders are in the so-called chain of survival.
2. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) practice: through intensive practice you will learn to perform CPR correctly – both on your own and as part of a team. Be ready for real physical effort – we practise CPR in different variants, using training manikins that reflect different casualty body types
3. Using an AED during a rescue: you will learn to use an Automated External Defibrillator correctly during simulated rescues. You will practise on the most popular, and therefore most commonly available, types of devices. You will also find out where AEDs can be found in public spaces.
Practical workshops90-120 min
INJURY CARE1. Trauma casualty: you will learn how to help correctly with the most common injuries, minimising pain and the risk of complications
2. Exercises and simulations: you will learn to dress limb fractures, sprains and dislocations, bleeding, burns, stab and gunshot wounds, lacerations, chest and abdominal wounds. You will learn techniques for stabilising injuries – especially of the spine – and what to do in the case of chemical, thermal and electrical injuries
3. Dedicated dressings and improvisation: you will learn to use dressings designed for specific injuries, and also how to cope when specialist equipment is not available
Practical workshops90-120 min
FIRST AID IN MEDICAL EMERGENCIES1. Heart attack and stroke: statistically the most common “killers” – we will teach you to recognise their symptoms and respond correctly
2. Choking: during the exercises you will learn to clear a casualty's airway both with dedicated techniques and with the LifeVac device, which significantly increases the effectiveness of the rescue when a foreign body is stuck in the airway
3. Other emergencies: You will learn what to do in the event of a severe allergic reaction, a seizure, fainting, feeling faint, shortness of breath, diabetic problems and other emergencies. Along the way we will dispel the most common myths, which lead to risky behaviour in these situations – in our classes you will only learn procedures in line with the current recommendations of the European Resuscitation Council
Practical workshops60 min
RECOVERY POSITION1. When to use it: you will learn when a casualty should be placed in the recovery position, how to do it safely and how to cope when there is a big difference in weight and build between you and the casualty
2. Exercises: you will learn to place a casualty in the recovery position regardless of the position they were in
Practical workshops30 min
A FIRST AID KIT READY FOR ACTION1. Quality, not quantity: we use an example to explain the difference between a standard “supermarket” first aid kit and a practical emergency kit
2. Dedicated kits: we present the recommended contents of a home, car and travel first aid kit
3. Your own emergency kit: we will advise you how to put together a first aid kit wisely, so that it is a reliable support in any situation. Training in recognising symptoms and responding to medical emergencies

Training programmeTopicWhat will you learn?FormatTime
Heart attackYou will learn what a heart attack is, what mechanisms underlie it and what can cause it. We will teach you to recognise its typical symptoms and what you can and should do before the ambulance arrives, to give the casualty the best possible conditions and keep them safe while waiting for medical help.Lecture20 min
StrokeYou will learn the mechanism that leads to a stroke, its types and possible causes. We explain why it is so important to stay alert and watch a casualty closely, as they may show signs of paralysis or weakness in part of the body for even a very short time. You will learn why such symptoms must never be ignored and what steps can and should be taken wherever you are. In a stroke, a fast response and confident, decisive action are crucial – not only for the casualty's survival, but also for preserving their mobility and cognitive functions.Lecture20 min
Coughing and chokingWe explain the difference between coughing on something and choking, and the mechanisms that lead to them. You will practise not only on adults but also on manikins representing school-age children and infants. We will show you professional equipment that quickly and easily helps to clear the airway and restore normal breathing.Practical workshops30 min
FaintingWe explain what fainting is and what mechanisms cause it. You will learn what to do to help the casualty regain consciousness safely and to give them a sense of safety and emotional comfort.Practical workshops20 min
SeizuresWe explain what a seizure is and its possible causes (epilepsy, head injury). You will learn to recognise the typical symptoms and how to respond correctly and safely in such a situation. We will bust the myths about handling a casualty, show you how to protect them from injury and how to provide emotional comfort once the seizure is over.Lecture20 min
DiabetesYou will learn how to respond when someone near you shows symptoms suggesting diabetic problems and what to look out for — even in their clothing or the things they carry. We go beyond theory — we focus on practice, so we will work through realistic response scenarios and the use of a training glucagon kit.Practical workshops30 min
Anaphylactic shockAnaphylactic shock is a condition in which the body's response to an allergen is violent, with symptoms that escalate quickly and can be immediately life-threatening. In such a situation time, confident action and access to the right means that can save a life all matter. We will discuss how to recognise the first signs of shock and practise giving adrenaline with a training EpiPen.Practical workshops20 min
AsthmaImagine someone next to you cannot catch their breath – what do you do? How do you respond? You will learn to recognise the alarming signs of an asthma attack and to tell a critical attack from ordinary tiredness. You will also practise giving medication with a training inhaler, so that in an emergency you can help the casualty with a steady hand and save someone's life.Practical workshops20 min
CPR and AEDAn additional module – your second line of defence in case earlier rescue efforts do not work and the casualty's condition rapidly deteriorates – leading to cardiac arrest.

1. We will teach you how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) correctly, using modern, realistic manikins.
2. We will show you how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) correctly – a device that increases the chance of survival in cardiac arrest.
3. You will also find out where AEDs are most often found in public spaces.
