The SmartCase SC1230 outdoor cabinet (Global Technics Medicare) is a cabinet for storing an AED defibrillator outside a building. The AISI 304 stainless steel housing with a protective coating is corrosion-resistant and protects the AED from damage. An inspection window made of impact-resistant polycarbonate lets you check the defibrillator's status without opening the door.
Insulation limits the effect of the outside temperature on the interior, an electric heating element protects the AED in frost – according to the manufacturer down to -20°C – and a fan provides active ventilation on warmer days. When opened, an intermittent audible alarm of approx. 95 dB and red LED lighting are activated, and a blue LED light improves the cabinet's visibility.
Heating, ventilation, lighting and the alarm require a constant power supply – the cabinet is connected to the mains with the included 24 V power supply. Dimensions: 40 × 40 × 20 cm (H × W × D), weight 7 kg, IP54 rating. The SmartCase SC1230 outdoor cabinet works well at a building entrance.

An AED ready at all times
A defibrillator only helps if it works and can be reached quickly. Appoint a person to regularly check the readiness indicator and the expiry dates of the battery and electrodes. When someone is unresponsive and not breathing normally, call 112, start chest compressions and ask for an AED to be brought – action taken by a bystander can decide whether the casualty survives.
