CU Medical iPAD SP1 defibrillator is a semi-automatic AED for public places, workplaces and emergency services. Its simple design and light and voice prompts mean that even an inexperienced person can use it. The set includes a battery, universal electrodes and an iPAD carry bag.
Illuminated illustrations on the housing show the key steps, and calm voice prompts in Polish automatically adjust their volume to the ambient noise. The CPR assistant and metronome help maintain the correct compression rate. When a shock is advised, the shock button flashes and the rescuer presses it. Charging takes approx. 6 seconds, also after CPR ends.
The universal electrodes are used for adults and children – child mode is switched on with a sliding switch that prevents accidental changes; the energy then drops from 150 to 50 J. For children you can also buy CU Medical paediatric electrodes. The LCD screen shows the status of the device, battery and electrodes, and self-tests (daily, weekly or monthly) monitor readiness. CU Medical iPAD SP1 defibrillator should be kept in a visible, signposted place so that anyone can reach it quickly.
The Long Life battery for SP1 provides 5 years of standby or 200 shocks, and the CU Medical universal electrodes for SP1 (CUA1007S) have a shelf life of up to 36 months. The housing has an IP55 rating and withstands a 1.2 m drop; the device weighs 2.4 kg. The memory stores 5 rescues of up to 3 hours each, which can be copied to an SD card. CU Medical iPAD SP1 defibrillator requires the electrodes to be replaced after each use.
Why the CU Medical iPAD SP1 defibrillator?
One set of electrodes for adults and children, a switch that prevents accidental mode changes and prompts that adjust their own volume are features that genuinely help under stress. The rugged housing means SP1 can also be used in industrial halls and in the field. The CU Medical iPAD SP1 defibrillator works well in workplaces, halls and sports facilities.
You will find the same defibrillator in an IP66 protective case as the iPAD SP1 CoreTrek, and in an automatic version as the iPAD SP1 AUTO. You will find other models in the category AED defibrillators and accessories.
An AED ready at all times
A defibrillator only helps if it works and can be reached quickly. Appoint a person to regularly check the readiness indicator and the expiry dates of the battery and electrodes. When someone is unresponsive and not breathing normally, call 112, start chest compressions and ask for an AED to be brought – action taken by a bystander can decide whether the casualty survives.
