Why choose a Samaritan PAD defibrillator case?
A defibrillator that has to be transported or carried to the scene is exposed to shocks, dust and moisture. A polypropylene case with an IP67 protection rating protects the contents against dust and short-term immersion in water, and the shaped foam insert limits movement of the device inside. The shaped foam insert in the Samaritan PAD defibrillator case stabilises the device during transport. Samaritan PAD defibrillator case is made of polypropylene and has an IP67 protection rating.
The convenient handle allows you to bring the equipment to the casualty quickly. Looking for the device itself? See the AED defibrillators.
Practical use of the case and AED at the scene
Place the Samaritan PAD defibrillator in the shaped foam insert so that it sits securely inside. Carry the case by the handle. The pressure valve is a part of the housing that equalises the pressure inside, so do not interfere with it unnecessarily.
If you suspect sudden cardiac arrest, first make sure that you and the casualty are safe, call for help on 999 or 112, start chest compressions and use the AED as soon as possible, following its instructions. A casualty's survival may depend on a bystander taking action. You can read more about the device in the article Automated external defibrillator (AED).
