First aid instructions – right where they will be needed

In an emergency, nobody looks for knowledge in a binder. First aid instructions displayed in a visible place remind the person facing a casualty of the most important steps, and a first aid kit on a permanent holder is exactly where everyone expects it to be. In this category you will find boards, bookmarks for revision after training and holders for building a first aid point in a company, public office or school.

Wall holders for bags and cases

Both Mini holders have three mounting holes and rectangular openings in the handles, through which you can fit a seal to control access to the bag.

How do you set up a first aid point?

Choose a place that is visible and easy to describe over the phone, e.g. by the reception, in the main corridor or at the entrance to a hall. First aid instructions should hang next to the first aid kit, at eye level, and the way to them must not be blocked. Match the equipment to the place: bags with modular first aid kits can hang on the holders, and in the same spot you can place workplace first aid kits. If there is a defibrillator in the building, mark the way to it with information signs.

A board is a reminder, but it does not replace practice. Good first aid instructions start with assessing safety and calling for help on 999 or 112. After that, a bystander taking action can decide whether the casualty survives, so the next steps are worth practising at our first aid training. The bookmarks will help Trainees and Participants return to this information after the session. Read more about resuscitation in the article Basic life support – CPR.

First aid instructions only do their job if people know where to find them. Show the first aid point to new employees on their first day and mark it on the building plan. Also check that the board is legible and that nobody has covered it with a cupboard, plants or materials. In large buildings one set of first aid instructions is usually not enough: they are useful on every floor or next to every first aid kit. A good addition is a note with the building address and directions, because under stress it is easy to forget the details you need to give the dispatcher.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Does the TRAUMA KIT 2 board have space for modules?

No – this version is the board with instructions alone, with no module holders. The equipment must be placed next to it.

Which holder fits my TRAUMAKIT Mini bag?

The Mini 4 holder is for four-module bags, and the Mini 6 holder is for six-module bags.

How do you remove the case from the TRAUMA KIT holder?

Grab the case and pull it upwards – the Fidlock system releases the fastening and you can go straight to the casualty.
