Modular first aid kits – a dedicated set for every incident

Modular First Aid Kits divide equipment by type of incident. Instead of searching for a dressing in one large bag, you reach for a module labelled with the specific problem: bleeding, a fracture, a wound or a road accident. A TRAUMAKIT Mini module works on its own or as part of the larger TRAUMAKIT Mini system, so you can build your set gradually and adapt it to a company, public office, school, car or home.

Modules in our range

Mini modules all share the same dimensions: 15 × 14 × 7 cm. They differ in contents and purpose.

How do you choose modular first aid kits?

Start by asking what is most likely to happen in a given place. In a workshop or on a production floor, the Bleeding and Wounds modules are useful; in a car, the Road Accident module; and where falls are likely, the Fractures module. Modular first aid kits also make restocking easier: after an incident you replace the used items in one module and the rest stay untouched. Remember that the Bleeding module contains an Israeli-type dressing but no tourniquet. You will find one in the category tourniquets. You can hang TRAUMAKIT Mini bags on the holders from the category instructions, boards and holders, and complete sets are in the category ready-made.

Modular first aid kits are only half of being prepared

Even a well-chosen kit only helps if someone knows how to use its contents. In a life-threatening situation, call for help on 999 or 112 – a bystander taking action can decide whether the casualty survives. We practise using dressings, splints and bandages at our first aid training, and the CPR training module makes exercises easier for Instructors. Read more about bleeding in the article Massive haemorrhage – first aid.

It is worth describing modular first aid kits in your company procedures: who checks them, where they hang and who restocks used items. This way the set quickly returns to full readiness after every incident.
