The Vivest P3 battery is a disposable lithium-manganese (LiMnO2) battery for the ViVest Pocket AED P3 defibrillator in its battery version. It has a voltage of 12 V, a capacity of 1500 mAh and a blue housing that distinguishes it from the battery for the P1 model.

According to the manufacturer, the battery provides at least 130 shocks of 150 J at 20°C (±2°C), at least 120 shocks at -15°C and at least another 30 shocks after the first low-battery reminder. Continuous operating time (without shocks, with CPR guidance and rhythm analysis) is at least 10 hours, and after the low-battery reminder at least 1 hour.

On standby – with weekly self-tests and without a 4G connection – the battery lasts 3 years, and its shelf life is 7 years. The battery measures 7.5 × 4.1 × 3 cm and weighs 100 g.

For the rechargeable P3 version, use the ViVest P3 rechargeable battery. When replacing it, also check the Vivest P3 electrodes.

Why does the Vivest P3 battery perform well in the cold?

The Pocket AED is a defibrillator that often travels with its owner – in a company car, in a backpack, on trips. The Vivest P3 battery retains at least 120 shocks even at -15°C, so it does not lose readiness at low temperatures.

You will find other batteries in the category AED defibrillator batteries.

Early defibrillation – a link in the chain of survival

The chance of surviving sudden cardiac arrest depends on calling for help quickly, immediate resuscitation and the earliest possible defibrillation. Every minute of delay reduces this chance, which is why an AED must always be charged and ready. A bystander who starts compressions and brings the defibrillator buys time until the emergency medical team arrives. The Vivest P3 battery lasts 3 years on standby after installation.

We describe how the links of rescue fit together in the article How the chain of survival has saved thousands.
