Electrodes for DefiSign Life are adult electrodes for DefiSign Life defibrillators – both the automaticand the semi-automaticversion. They have a 2.5-year shelf life.
The electrodes conduct the defibrillation pulse and let the device assess the heart rhythm. They are single-use – after use, after the packaging has been opened or after the expiry date they must be replaced.
For defibrillating small children use the paediatric electrodes for DefiSign Life. At the inspection, also check the DefiSign Life battery. Electrodes for DefiSign Life store in the sealed packaging, together with the defibrillator.
DefiSign Life electrodes – when to replace?
At the latest 2.5 years from the date of manufacture, or immediately after the AED has been used in a rescue. Good practice is to write the date on a card by the cabinet and order new electrodes in advance. Electrodes for DefiSign Life are a part worth ordering in advance.
You will find other electrodes in the category AED defibrillator accessories.
AED electrodes – how to apply them?
On an adult, place one electrode below the right collarbone, next to the breastbone, and the other on the left side of the chest, below the armpit. The skin must be bare and dry – if necessary, dry it or remove excess hair. The electrodes are single-use: they must be replaced after use in a rescue, after the packaging has been opened or after the expiry date. Nobody touches the casualty during rhythm analysis and the shock.
