QUIK-STEP universal electrodes for the Lifepak CR2 AED defibrillator

QUIK-STEP universal electrodes for Lifepak CR2 are a replaceable electrode pack for every model of the LIFEPAK CR2 defibrillator – in the automatic and semi-automaticversion. The same electrodes are used for adults and children – for a child you just press the child mode button on the defibrillator, and only the placement changes.

When the CR2 lid is opened, only the electrode pack is visible. Pulling the red handle reveals the electrodes laid side by side on a tray; they are peeled off using the loops, and a drawing on each electrode shows where to place it on an adult and on a child. The cable is 1.1 m long.

The electrodes are replaced every 4 years if unused and after every rescue. Power is provided by the Lifepak CR2 battery with the same 4-year replacement cycle. QUIK-STEP universal electrodes for Lifepak CR2 replace after every use of the defibrillator.

Universal electrodes – adult and child

Universal electrodes let you rescue both an adult and a child – usually after switching the defibrillator to paediatric mode. On an adult they are placed on the front of the chest (below the right collarbone and on the left side), and on a small child usually front and back so that they do not touch. The electrodes are single-use – they must be replaced after a rescue, after the packaging has been opened or after the expiry date.
