Why the modular first aid station TRAUMAKIT?

Modular first aid station TRAUMAKIT organises the equipment by type of incident: cuts separately, burns separately, sudden emergencies separately, minor plasters separately. The modules are clearly marked, so the person giving help can immediately reach for the right part of the kit, and nitrile gloves “L” are included in each of the Wounds, Burns and Emergencies modules.

The range also covers situations other than cuts, such as a foreign body in the eye (eye rinse bottle, ZPO set) or a sudden drop in blood sugar (glucose tablets). You can read more about this condition in the article on diabetes as a metabolic disease. Modular first aid station TRAUMAKIT has, among other things, glucose tablets, a hand warmer and a chemical light in the Emergencies module.

How to use the first aid station: order of actions

First, assess whether the scene is safe for you and the casualty, put on the gloves from the module and call for help on 999 or 112. The casualty's survival may depend on a bystander taking action, so it is worth knowing the contents of the modules before they are needed. In the Wounds, Burns and Emergencies modules you will find an instruction leaflet to follow.

The Wounds module is used for cuts and light bleeding. In the case of massive bleeding, call 999 or 112 and apply direct pressure to the wound using a compress or gauze until help arrives. The details are described in the article Massive haemorrhage – first aid.
