Why does the TRAUMAKIT first aid point consist of two modules?
The split separates everyday minor items from more serious injuries. TRAUMAKIT first aid point keeps plasters in the dispenser, and dressings, gauze, the triangular bandage and net dressings in the WOUNDS module. So the TRAUMAKIT first aid point gives access to a plaster for a cut and to larger dressings for a more serious wound.

How to use the set in practice?
Before reaching for the dressings, make sure the scene is safe and call for help on 999 or 112 if the situation requires it. Put on the nitrile gloves from the set before any contact with blood. In case of massive bleeding, apply direct pressure to the wound. Dressings and bandages are single-use, so replenish them in the set after use.
It is a good idea to read the pictorial instructions before they are needed. The order of actions with a casualty is described in the article Assessing the casualty.
