Why does the first aid backpack R1 PRO TRAUMAKIT PRO have a modular layout?
The set is divided by type of injury: trauma panel, bleeding / pneumothorax, burns, fractures and loose items. In addition, there is quick access to gloves and space for an oxygen cylinder in the same backpack. First aid backpack R1 PRO TRAUMAKIT PRO comes in bright colours with reflective elements and has space for a unit patch.
The version without equipment is useful for a unit that wants to fill the pouches with its own set. The full version is assembled in line with KSRG 2026. You will find other solutions in the category rescue kits. The first aid backpack R1 PRO TRAUMAKIT PRO has rubber protective feet on the bottom and side, and YKK zips.
Rules for using the set at the scene
The set should be used by a trained person. First make sure the scene is safe for you and the casualty, and call for help on 999 or 112. Put on nitrile gloves and safety glasses, which in the full version you will find in the trauma panel. In massive bleeding, apply direct pressure. When bleeding from a limb is life-threatening, apply a tourniquet; in the full version, the Bleeding / pneumothorax module contains two CAT gen.7 tourniquets.
The casualty's survival may depend on a bystander taking action, so it is worth knowing the rules for dealing with bleeding. We describe them in the article Massive haemorrhage – first aid. In the version without equipment, the unit chooses the contents of the pouches, so before an incident check what is in them and where it is kept.
