R1 PRO TRAUMAKIT backpack is a single-backpack rescue set for units operating within the National Rescue and Firefighting System. It has been configured according to the guidelines of February 2026 and brings a complete set of field equipment together in one backpack. It includes eight modules: BLEEDING/PNEUMOTHORAX, PERSONAL PROTECTION/EYE, BURNS, FRACTURES, MASKS/TUBES, ADULTS/AIRWAY, CHILDREN/AIRWAY and SUCTION.

The r1 pro traumakit backpack has its exact contents listed below – each module in a separate tab, with the number of pieces. The contents in the tabs change according to the version selected on the product page. The BC and BT versions differ in the hydrogel dressings in the Burns module: BC has Burncare dressings, while BT has BurnTec dressings in different sizes. Separately in the backpack there are adjustable cervical collars, for adults and for children.

Three configurations are available: the full one, with a 2.0L aluminium oxygen cylinder with valve and a Mediselect II regulator, a version without the cylinder and regulator, and a version with an orthopaedic board and Kramer splints. The board measures 184 x 45.1 x 6 cm, weighs 7.5 kg, is made of polyethylene and floats on water. The set includes a head immobiliser and 4 black straps with carabiners and metal quick-release buckles. R1 PRO TRAUMAKIT backpack has a central pocket for orthopaedic collars, which can be used without opening the modules.

Every module is labelled, so a trained person can reach for the right pouch without searching through everything. After use, only the missing items in a given module need to be replaced. When choosing the R1 PRO TRAUMAKIT backpack, you can decide whether you need the version with an oxygen cylinder, without it, or with the board and Kramer splints.

The backpack is made of a waterproof, easy-to-clean material in bright colours with reflective elements, has rubber feet on the bottom and side, and space for a patch with the unit's logo. The carrying system allows an additional hip belt to be attached, and the detachable shoulder straps have material on the inside that improves carrying comfort. The capacity is approx. 52 litres. How to use the R1 PRO TRAUMAKIT backpack at the scene

First assess safety, then call for help on 999 or 112. In the case of massive bleeding, start with direct pressure, and when limb bleeding is life-threatening, apply a tourniquet. The BLEEDING/PNEUMOTHORAX module exists so that these items are kept in one place. Dressings and bands are single-use products; after use, replenish them in the module.

Oxygen therapy, laryngeal masks, oropharyngeal airways and suction are specialist equipment that should only be operated by a trained person.
