The ViVest P3 rechargeable battery is a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for the ViVest Pocket AED P3 defibrillator in its rechargeable version. It has a voltage of 7.2 V and a capacity of 3450 mAh, and the blue housing distinguishes it from the black battery for the P1 model.
According to the manufacturer, the battery provides at least 250 shocks of 150 J at 20°C (±2°C), at least 200 shocks at -15°C and at least another 30 shocks after the first low-battery reminder.
Continuous operating time is at least 10 hours (at 20°C ±5°C, without shocks, with CPR guidance and rhythm analysis), and after the low-battery reminder at least 1.5 hours. On standby, with a weekly self-test and without mains connection, the battery lasts 3 months before the next charge. Its service life is up to 5 years or 300 charging cycles if stored according to the manufacturer's recommendations. It measures 7.5 × 4.1 × 3 cm and weighs 120 g.
The ViVest P3 rechargeable battery is charged in the Vivest P1/P3 battery charger. For the version of the defibrillator powered by a disposable battery, use the Vivest P3 battery.
Why have a spare ViVest P3 rechargeable battery?
A battery on standby must be charged every 3 months, and after a few years or several hundred cycles its performance drops. When the AED is often taken out – for demonstrations, training or duty shifts – a spare ViVest P3 rechargeable battery restores readiness immediately instead of waiting for charging.
You will find other power sources in the category AED defibrillator batteries.
An AED ready at all times
A defibrillator only helps if it works and can be reached quickly. Appoint a person to regularly check the readiness indicator and the expiry dates of the battery and electrodes. When someone is unresponsive and not breathing normally, call 112, start chest compressions and ask for an AED to be brought – action taken by a bystander can decide whether the casualty survives.
