Why does the TRAUMAKIT ROSZAK modular first aid kit have a modular design?
TRAUMAKIT ROSZAK modular first aid kit divides the equipment into six modules by type of incident. The TRAUMAKIT ROSZAK modular first aid kit in the case version allows the modules to be taken out and used independently, so several people can help different casualties at the same time. This division organises the response and shortens the time spent looking for the items you need.
The backpack makes it easier to get the equipment to a casualty in the field and in hard-to-reach places. Thanks to its carrying handle, the case allows the set to be carried efficiently to the scene, and its individual modules can be restocked or replaced.
How to use the kit during first aid?
First make sure that you and the casualty are safe, then call for help on 999 or 112 and reach for the module that matches the injury. Before contact with blood and other biological material, protect yourself with the items from the CPR and personal protection module. In the case of massive bleeding, apply direct pressure to the wound straight away, and when bleeding from a limb is life-threatening, apply a tourniquet. TRAUMAKIT ROSZAK modular first aid kit has a separate BLEEDING module; in the case version it contains a tourniquet and materials for packing and dressing wounds. This is specialist equipment, so it is best used by a trained person.
You can read more about how to manage massive bleeding in the article Massive haemorrhage – first aid, and about calling for help in the text Emergency number 112 and calling for help.
