Why choose the first aid point TRAUMAKIT AKZN?

First aid point TRAUMAKIT AKZN organises equipment by situation. The person giving help reaches for module K in the case of heavy bleeding, module Z for a limb injury, and module N when the casualty has to be transported in a lying position. Module A gathers personal protective equipment, so gloves, glasses and masks are in one place.

The set is intended for companies, public offices and schools, and other places where access to first aid equipment is required. You can read about how to think about readiness for heavy bleeding in the article A first aid kit ready for massive bleeding. By choosing the first aid point TRAUMAKIT AKZN, you get modules for personal protection/CPR, bleeding, fractures and stretchers on a single board.

Rules for using the kit: from safety to stopping bleeding

Start by assessing whether the scene is safe, and call for help on 999 or 112. Put on the gloves from module A before touching the casualty. In massive bleeding, apply direct pressure to the wound, and when bleeding from a limb is life-threatening, apply a tourniquet. A bystander taking action can determine the casualty's survival. The board in the first aid point TRAUMAKIT AKZN measures 44.5 cm × 58 cm and has a light colour variant.

Treat items that have come into contact with blood as single-use. For a limb injury, use the splint and triangular bandage from module Z, and the stretcher from module N is used to transport the casualty in a lying position. Details of how to proceed in the case of bleeding are described in the article Massive haemorrhage – first aid.
