R1 PRO TRAUMAKIT backpack is a modular KSRG-compliant rescue backpack, sold without equipment. Inside there are empty pouches, which you fill with equipment in line with your own procedures. Its purpose is to keep equipment organised and make it comfortable to carry in the field.
The backpack material is waterproof and easy to wipe clean, in bright colours with reflective elements. The modular pouches are made of easy-to-clean material, and the zips are made by YKK. Protective rubber feet are fitted on the bottom and side of the backpack.
The carrying system can be extended with an additional hip belt, and the backpack has space for an oxygen cylinder and for a patch with the logo of the unit or user. The backpack is intended for fire service units, medical rescue teams operating within KSRG structures, Rescuers and operators in intervention teams, as well as for companies, public offices and institutions taking part in security and evacuation operations. R1 PRO TRAUMAKIT backpack has YKK zips and pouches made of easy-to-clean material.
Why choose the TRAUMAKIT R1 PRO modular backpack?
R1 PRO TRAUMAKIT backpack does not dictate the contents: you fill the empty pouches as your procedures require. The modular design lets you quickly change the layout of the interior when operational needs change, and the smooth surfaces make cleaning after an operation easier.
Bright colours and reflective elements improve the visibility of the person carrying the backpack, and detachable shoulder straps with an inner layer that improves comfort make longer carrying easier. You will find other solutions for carrying equipment in the category Rescue kits.
How to prepare the backpack for use and what to remember when acting
The backpack comes to you without equipment, so before first use you need to fill the pouches and arrange them in the module. Specialist equipment placed inside should be operated by a trained person. If you plan to carry an oxygen cylinder, it goes in the space provided for it. Dressings and bandages, that is, everything that comes into contact with blood, should be single-use.
Whatever the contents of the backpack, the order of actions at the scene is the same: first your own safety and the safety of your surroundings, then call for help on 999 or 112. In massive bleeding, direct pressure is applied, and a tourniquet is applied when bleeding from a limb is life-threatening. A bystander taking action can decide whether the casualty survives.
