Why choose the TRAUMA KIT tactical module first aid kit?

The most important item is the CAT gen. 7 tourniquet with an adjustable strap and plastic windlass. It is intended for life-threatening situations, such as massive bleeding or amputations, when ordinary dressings are not enough. Alongside it, the kit contains an Axiostat Z-Fold haemostatic dressing measuring 7.6cmx300cm and two individual dressings, so with a serious wound you can choose a product to suit the situation. In the set, the TRAUMA KIT tactical module first aid kit combines a CAT tourniquet, an Axiostat haemostatic dressing and individual dressings of two types.

Everything fits in a compact modular first aid kit, and additional equipment, such as 16.5 cm rescue scissors, NRC foil and nitrile gloves, is already inside. You can read about what equipment for massive bleeding should look like in the article A first aid kit ready for massive bleeding. The TRAUMA KIT tactical module first aid kit has been prepared for the military, uniformed services, sport shooters and shooting range owners.

Rules for using the kit in massive bleeding

First, make sure you are safe and put on the gloves from the kit, then call for help on 999 or 112. In massive bleeding, apply direct pressure to the wound. When bleeding from a limb is life-threatening, apply a tourniquet, and you can note the place and time of application with the marker.

Specialist items, such as the vented chest seal or the nasal tube, should be used by a trained person. Whether the casualty survives may be decided by a bystander taking action, so it is worth knowing the procedure before using the kit: we describe it in the article Massive haemorrhage – first aid.
