Why is the TRAUMAKIT Mini 4 KRZO first aid kit a good choice for the workplace and school?
TRAUMAKIT Mini 4 KRZO first aid kit divides the equipment into four modules, so for a specific injury you open only the set you need. The TRAUMAKIT Mini 4 KRZO first aid kit has nitrile gloves and instructions in every module, so basic protection for the person giving help and guidance are immediately to hand.
The range is wide for such a small bag: from plasters (10 pcs 1.9x7.6 cm and 5 pcs fabric 6x10 cm) and eye washing, through the Sam Splint, to Burncare hydrogel dressings for burns. Two NRC foil/thermal blankets go into the Wounds and Burns modules.
How to proceed when using the set in practice?
Always start by assessing your own safety and that of the casualty, put on gloves and call for help on 999 or 112. In the case of massive bleeding, apply direct pressure to the wound using the individual dressing or gauze, and maintain it until the emergency services arrive. In the case of burns, protect the casualty from heat loss, which is provided by, among other things, NRC foil, and cover the wound itself with a hydrogel dressing. If a fracture is suspected, immobilise the limb with the splint and do not force it into a different position.
We describe the rules for dealing with bleeding in the article Massive haemorrhage – first aid. The dressings and gloves in the set are single-use, so replace any missing items after use.
