Why does the modular first aid kit TRAUMAKIT Mini have four modules?
The division into modules organises the contents by type of injury. Modular first aid kit TRAUMAKIT Mini lets you reach straight for the Bleeding module in case of heavy bleeding or for the Fractures module in case of a limb injury. The modular first aid kit TRAUMAKIT Mini also has an Accident module with a high-visibility vest and a keyring with a hammer and a seatbelt cutter.
The set is intended for people who are active outdoors, office and technical staff, pupils and students, and drivers. Nitrile gloves are included in every module, so whichever one you reach for, you can put them on straight away.
Rules for using the set in case of bleeding, a fracture and an accident
First, assess the safety of the scene and put on gloves. Call for help on 999 or 112. In case of massive bleeding, apply direct pressure to the wound, for example with the Israeli-type dressing from the Bleeding module. Immobilise a suspected fracture or dislocation with the Sam Splint from the Fractures module and limit movement of the limb.
How to act in case of heavy bleeding is described in the article Chapter II – Massive bleeding – first aid, and you can read about the contents of such kits in the text A first aid kit ready for massive bleeding.
